Hey guys, Newb in need of a little help

So i'v just purchased a 360, yep, and i'm going to be playing it on an HP w185

I was wondering what sort of picture i am going to get, will there be lag, how is the resolution going to effect the gaming?

A good quality picture of course, that's a modern monitor. It has a 5ms response time, so there won't be lag at all. As for resolution, you'll be playing in HD, so as far as gaming goes, you'll get to appreciate the graphics more, not only will they be much cleaner, but also you'll be able to spot enemies and stuff like that much easier than on a standard old TV.Hey guys, Newb in need of a little help

Cool man, thanks for your help. I will be using a VGA connector that i have purchased, that will still provide a good res? because the monitors natural res is 1366x768 and i didnt think that the xbox supported it. also will there be the black bars at the top and bottom of the screen?
The Xbox supports that resolution. I'm not sure if it will have back bars, but I'm using a 1680x1050 monitor which has black bars, but it still looks awesome. I don't even notice the bars are there.

Since it's a monitor, sadly you won't get as good of picture as HD, but close. Xbox doesn't support HD VGA
Ok, so what about HD to dvi then?

Since when can't monitors do HD? Since when doesn't the Xbox support HD through VGA?HD is either 720p or 1080p/i (or higher), which the Xbox fully supports through VGA.
TC, you'll have an awesome, HD quality with your monitor, you only need to buy a 360 VGA cable to connect to your monitor and you're good to go.
