Oblivion Draw Distance Update?

I know it's on the way, I just don't know when. Anybody have a timeframe for the draw distance and performance update for Oblivion? Thanks.(Sorry if there were posts about this before.)Oblivion Draw Distance Update?
Well I'll take a guess - probably after the PS3 release of Oblivion / release of Shivering Isles.Oblivion Draw Distance Update?

That would make sense, I just kind of hoped to see it sooner than that. My one complaint (technically) with Oblivion was that draw distance thing, and how grass would appear magically. I hope this fixes the minor performance issues, as well (like it said it would).

I don't know if you have read the PS3 Oblivion hands-on article here on GameSpot, but it mentions that the PS3 version has had its draw-distance techniques improved so that it loads and looks better. However, the article writer said that it was actually quite hard to tell what had been changed from the Xbox 360 version and the improvements were minimal. I would expect this would be the same for any improved 360 update.
Yeah, I read that. I'm a serial researcher :) Thanks for the input.
soo.... you're gonna play it again for the new draw distance....?
From the 1up preview of Oblivion Shivering Isles, they stated that with the new shading method they developed will be updated to the 360 since its a unified memory technique so 360 will automatically get the update. My guess is around the time frame when Oblivion releases for the ps3.Link to video preview: http://www.1up.com/do/previewPage?cId=3156953

It will be just a nice update to a great game. I wouldn't mind less pop-up scenery, and a little smoother gameplay in open areas. I'm not sure what you're contributing here... :?

That's not what he said at all

I hate to encourage petty arguments from you danneswegman, but your question really didn't make much sense in the thread... he's right...

there will be an update that will make the draw distance better and the performance.... my question was, is that enough to make you play the game again.. it's an honest quastion. As far as i know it's a pretty big/long/expansive game, and better draw distance will not enhance any gameplay.

Sure it will. It will make those of us who don't fast-travel everywhere (not accusing you of doing so) happier. I love exploring, and that's why Morrowind was so exciting. Pop-up grass isn't exactly my idea of immersive. Regardless, it's still a great game. I don't know how you can say an update that improves gameplay won't enhance the gameplay experience. Then what's the point of even updating?

well, i must admit i like to explore too, and i also like some eye candy. what i didn't realise is that there would be extra gameplay.. wasn't in your topic... So i thought the updates were a little late for people that allready spend 100 hours in the game..

so yeah, if you like walking around and looking around, i guess it will enhance the game experience.
