good first game that shows off the syste ...

Looking to get my first 360 game and I'm wondering which is a good one as far as showing what the system can do and how good it can look / play. I'm thinking about Fallout 3 (I've played it on PC though) or Oblivion or Mass Effect. What would you suggest? Anything else?good first game that shows off the syste ...

Well Fallout 3 is an amazing game, my personal favorite. But i suggest you buy a game you like, not one that ''shows off the system''
I would also recommend Bioshock, Halo 3, Battlefield: Bad company and Rainbow Six Vegas 2. You can get all of those for pretty cheap now. Oh, Tales of Vesperia is also great if you're into jrpg's.
Games with great graphics: Fallout 3, Oblivion, Mass Effect, Bioshock, Mirrors Edge, Gears 2, Call of Duty 4 and WaW.
Gears of War 2, Dead Rising, Devil May Cry 4.
Gears of war 2 is probably the best game graphics in the market at the moment I suggest that.

Gears of War 2 and Resident Evil 5. In my opinion Resident Evil 5 has the best graphics, but Splintercell: Conviction just might change that.

GoW2 and FarCry 2 are great graphically. Among your choices Mass Effect and Fallout 3 both have good graphics and game play. Oblivion has good game play but graphically its dated.
Halo 3, Gears 2, and Mirrors Edge have great visuals.
Gears of War has better graphics than anything you've mentioned.
For me (January 2007) it was Gears of War and Oblivion. I still think Oblivion is a beautiful game.
