2 Probs with Magic Online

okay, so while Magic: Duels of the Plainswalkers is a good game, with agood amount of value to it, it has two major problems. The first problem is the online hosting system. Normally, this sounds like a traditional thing. The game host is the one responsible for the connection to the game. However, this becomes a problem when these freaking jerks online decide they dont want to lose, they quit the game. If those people arent the host, then dandy, they can go lock themselves in their panic rooms and cry (I hope you've seen that South Park episode), but if they ARE then I lose my chance at getting another victory in an online match which means its kinda hard to get the two achievements you need to play online to get.My other problem with this game is the fact that you cant make a custom deck. You get like 7 or 8 premades which vary in tactics and have good, useful cards, but you can online edit them slightly (you can take out or add any extra cards that you have unlocked for that specific deck) and in the end you are left wishing you could combine the decks, and that you had a more robust card selection. Furthermore, the decks arently exactly equal. The Elf deck is absurdly overpowered, as you are able to play low cost creatures that all power each other up, and within 10 turns I've seen someone have an army of 7/7s that are just getting stronger. Thats fine if it happens every once in a while (everyone gets good luck) but its pretty much a constant with the elf deck, and considering that it has a few creature removal cards in there too, its just pretty unbalanced.Still, the game manages to be fun despite its flaws. Hopefully in the future they will release a patch that allows players to create custom decks for online play, purchase booster packs (whether its with real money or money earned in game, hopefully the latter tho) to get more varied cards, and to fix the hosting issues. Until they do this game is just an average online card game.2 Probs with Magic Online
I never played the card game, but I tried the demo and liked it. Is there a decent online community? I'd hate to get it and find out that no one else plays.2 Probs with Magic Online
its a decent online community. It might take a few tries, but you will get into a game. The problem you might run into is the host ragequitting when he/she realizes that they are going to lose.
ya, thats like ufc, they should have made it so that if you leave u lose
