NG2 installation problems, help!!!!!

Okay, I just got a used copy of Ninja Gaiden 2 on amazon. It had a sticker around the small ring on the top. I had heard people had problems when games had stickers on the disc, so I peeled it off. It left just a tiny bit of residu, but I cleaned off 99% of it. For some reason though, it gets to like 30% or so ont he installation, and it says the disc can't be read, and it might be dirty or scratched. The down side of the dis is perfect. Cans omeone help me? What is wrong? All my other games work. Any help would be appreciated.NG2 installation problems, help!!!!!
Don't install it and just play it in the disk drive or rent/borrow a copy form someone and install that disk to your HDD and then yours will work.NG2 installation problems, help!!!!!
This is really weird. I used a disc cleaning solution on it and all the gunk came off the top side of the disc. Everything about the disc is perfect, it plays fine, but it won't install. It reaches 38% every time, then says it can't install. Could it have something to do that I'm downloading game add ons at the same time? Has anyone had an experience like this?
try to clean it with your clothes it always work for meand do everything you can to install it because if its not installed the game is going to freeze sometime while you're playing, and you will not be able to continue after that point

I wouldn't worry too much about installing it. That's weird that it doesn't work, but you shouldn't waste that much time just to install it imo.

Cans omeone confirm that the game will freeze on me? I don't understand how this would happen. The game will get to 38% ont he install and quit, and there is no incomplete installation data in the hdd's memory. I'm fine playing this game without the install. But why would it freeze like that and make the game unplayable?!
I'd heard about the freeze glitch but haven't experienced it myself and am not sure if it's true or not. I'd heard some update that was released just completely broke the game.
well i bought that game on day one i played it alot. n i mean a lot. i got most the achivements. n it only froze like 2 times on me. n i read ppl had problems with it after the first major update. n then they fixed it. n its been working fine since then. at least i didnt have any problems playing it like a month ago.
Can't help you I do not install games.

Is their space on your hard drive

It said the disc was dirty or scratched (it's in near perfect condition) and that I need to wash it with a damp cloth. I've played it for maybe 90 minutes and it hasn't freezed.
This happened to my friend with cod 4, its not just you.
Just return it where you bought it and get another copy. If it won't load to your HDD there is some sort of problem with the disk. It's a great game, really challenging.

The disc is perfect though. I cleaned the crap off the top of the disc, and the bottoms side is perfect. I just installed Mass Effect which had some scrathes on it, and it installed perfetly.....
It's not perfect though, take it back and tell them it's not working properly.
