Beginner friendly soccer game?

I'm a huge sports fan, but like everyone else in the U.S. I hated soccer without giving it much of a chance. I've been watching the Fifa Confederation Cup thing on ESPN and it's actually entertaining. I mostly only play sports games anyway and figured I would like to get a soccer game, but which is the most beginner friendly? For instance, I don't really understand all the rules right now..thanks.Beginner friendly soccer game?

Its fairlyeasy to get into, but hard to master. I'll look into getting FIFA 08 then because I love Be a Pro in NHL 09 so I would enjoy that. I'm going to check out that site too, thanks man.
In my opinion, I would get fifa 09, it doesn't cost much and it's the best ''soccer'' game out at the moment.It's sooo much better and easier then fifa 08. It also has a Be a Pro season mode which is fun.If i was you, i would play manager mode for a bit untill you go onto ranked matches.If your still unsure, maybe rent some ''soccer'' games and try them out.But i advise you on getting Fifa 09 :D
Fifa and Pro Evolution Soccer are the best two series if I remember right.I always preferred Pro Evo but I hear Fifa is the better series at the moment.
I would suggest you get a game from the FIFA series due to their accessability and fun-ness(yes i know). You should get either Fifa 08 or Fifa 09 since you can have them for less than $30 if you buy used, they are a great game with great online

Get fifa 09 my brother plays that game to death it's also highly rated.
