Xbox Live marketplace is a mess right no ...

I've read multiple forum posts at xbox.com about how some games are missing. Several people have also reported that they can find newer games like Virtual On, Sam and Max, Magic, or Garou: Mark of the Wolves.... but can only download a trial version, with no buy option on the game space, and no working unlock full game option within the trial. (a friend I would like to play Garou with simply can't buy the bloody game, it's frustrating) Personally I've also had the issue that when I try to play Garou offline, it says I am a Guest and not allowed to perform that operation, so I have to get online. I also purchased a community game, and in offline mode it simply told me to get on XBL to play it right there at the My Games section, it wouldn't launch. I just bought these today, obviously, I have the licenses for them on this console. Then to top that off, two days ago now the one year anniversary of the adding of the license transfer tool passed us by.We're supposed to be able to use it once a year. But when you click the link if you used it back then, it will just skip all of the steps and take you to the finish page, doing nothing. It also tells you that you can't use it again until June 26, 2009. So that's pretty irritating as well. You really have to wonder, how much longer will Microsoft continue to upload anticipated games to the service, only to have half the people who want it not be able to buy it, and the other half buy it but not be able to play it? (or only play it under certain conditions they should not NEED to play under) Speaking for myself, a few hours or even another full day of downtime so they can hunt down and eleminate these marketplace bugs is better than continuing with this frustrating and consumer punishing nonsense.Personally, I'm just going to stop buying anything from the marketplace until they assure me I'll actually get the services and products they are advertising, before I pay for them. Because it's obvious they have no problem simply taking my money and either kicking me in the nuts, or giving me half the promised functionality of the product. Really dissapointed with the service as a whole right now.Xbox Live marketplace is a mess right no ...
I was trying to play L4D offline co-op with a buddy and it said he needed to have a live account just to play offline. I didn't feel like making him an account so we played gears 2 offline with bots and he didn't need a live account. So I'm guessing that only certain games were affected.Anyway, I hope MS fixes it soon.
