Repair or simply buy a new one?

Should I do it? And is it even possible to buy an Xbox 360 without a hard drive (in order to lower the price)?

Over a month ago I got one red flashing light, but trying to get it repaired seems to have been more trouble than it's worth:

I'm out of the warranty

The registering part of the site won't accept my UK post-code

There aren't enough spaces for my phone number

The support feature of the site is useless

What should I do? Buy a new Xbox or brave it with the repairing process?

Any help would be appreciated.

-By the way, I've tried all the unplugging business, all to no effect-Repair or simply buy a new one?
You should probably repair it but you should have an arcade edition in-stores (In canada atleast) witch has no hard drive and costs almost nothing (199 CAN if I remember)Hope this helped :)AstariasRepair or simply buy a new one?
You should definitly send your old one in, as it is free, and then buy a new Xbox 360. This way the next time this happens, you can still play on your other console while the other one is being repaired, you see?

He can still send his xbox in though...
Call Microsoft tech support. Maybe you can get a free repair. If so, go for the free repair. They seem pretty lenient. My 360 was used and I've got RROD three times and every time I got a free repair.Even if you can't get a free repair, isnt it cheaper than buying a new xbox?

I did ring up the call centre and the guy said that it may be cheaper to just buy a new Xbox without the hard drive. Also, as it'd be new, it would be less likely to break again surely - seeing as the guy above said that he got the RROD three times... so a new one may be cheaper in the long run.

So @easykill_astari, what is included in this arcade edition? Do you get an actual Xbox (I don't know what the main bulky bit is called), or is it just an add on?
i bought a 360 by itself for $80 off ebay and it works great for me
my 360 has a major problem! no red rings, but it freezes constantly!!! so instead of repairing it, I'm just gonna buy a new one and sell my current one.
